## What Divzy does

- Split a shared expense equally with one tap, or drag each person's share to an exact amount, down to the paisa.
- Settle a single expense on its own, without touching the rest of the group balance — an uncommon feature among bill-splitting apps.
- Only the person who added an expense can edit or delete it; only the person who created a group can delete the group.
- Borrow & Lend: a two-way slate for money lent between two people outside any group ("gave Preetam ₹500 for petrol"). Both people see the same entry, and repayments net it down automatically.
- Add a friend by scanning their personal QR code or typing their six-character buddy code. Divzy does not read or upload phone contacts.
- Push notifications when a friend adds an expense, settles up, records a payment or loan, or adds you to a group — each notification shows that person's own share.
- Import from Splitwise: a Splitwise group's CSV export can be uploaded at https://divzy.vayuuntechnologies.in/import and every expense, exact share, date and past payment is recreated in Divzy; the imported balances are checked against Splitwise's own total row. People not yet on Divzy are held as named stand-ins until they join and claim their history.
- Adding someone late: when a member joins an existing group, Divzy asks which earlier expenses they shared and re-splits only those.
- Simplified settlement: Divzy works out the smallest set of transfers that squares a group up.
- Balances are shown in plain language ("you'll get" / "you'll pay") rather than accounting terms.

People who repeatedly share costs with the same group: flatmates splitting rent and groceries, friends on a trip, couples, families, and anyone who lends small amounts to friends and forgets about them.
